All three co-founders of Myriad have been involved with innovation in wind energy, in one form or another, over the last 7-8 years. They initially met in 2017 at the start of their PhD programme at the Wind and Marine Centre for Doctoral Training.

With a keen eye for commercial opportunities, and building on their complementary skillsets, the team used the Conception X start-up accelerator programme in 2021 as the first springboard for what Myriad is today.

Myriad Wind Energy Systems was registered in August of 2021, buoyed by the success of winning the Conception X Accelerator DemoDay. Since then, the team has been working tirelessly to make Myriad a success, already achieving significant milestones on their journey. The award-winning team has now grown to five members in total, and we will continue to expand.

The company is currently based in Stirling, Scotland. Scotland is at the forefront of wind energy globally, with an array of companies developing wind farms and wind supply chains across the country. It is, therefore, the ideal place to build the business.
